Beverley Hancock
Beverley joined Sirdar full time in 2018 bringing with her 25 years of recruitment of recruitment and executive search experience, gained across multiple industries and for clients based in Africa, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates. Having held operational, management and executive positions in South Africa and abroad, Beverley is an experienced executive director, independent chairman and business owner.
She offers a solid understanding of organisational dynamics and corporate politics, as well as the challenges that organisations face in the acquisition, retention and further development of key talent. As Partner and Head of Appoint, Beverley facilitates the appointment of non-executive directors by working to understand clients’ unique and exact requirements, their board structures as well as natural energies within the team. She also focuses on the continued growth and success of the Sirdar Director Network: Africa’s largest member network of active and aspiring non-executive directors. Beverley is regularly invited to contribute on panel discussions and webinars, and was even a finalist in the Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa’s (BWASA) Regional Business Achiever Awards (Corporate). Business-minded, forward-thinking and strategic, Beverley has qualifications in HR management, small business management and executive coaching.
She is busy completing a Bachelor of Arts (Health Sciences and Social Services) – Applied Psychology for Professional Contexts. She is an intrepid adventurer with a real love for travel, and an advocate for continuous learning. A quote she lives by is “As ye sow, so shall ye reap”.
Caroline Impey
Caroline is a seasoned company secretary with 18 years of experience in corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory affairs. With meticulous attention to detail and a comprehensive understanding of corporate law, Caroline focuses on ensuring that our company operates in full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
She plays a pivotal role in facilitating communication between the board of directors, management, and stakeholders. She is responsible for drafting and maintaining legal documents, such as board resolutions, minutes of meetings, and annual reports, as well as ensuring timely filings with regulatory authorities.
Caroline possesses a deep understanding of corporate governance best practices and stays abreast of changes in regulations that may impact our business operations. She is committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all corporate affairs.
Prior to joining Sirdar, Caroline successfully served as a company secretary for a variety of companies, where she demonstrated a track record of excellence in corporate compliance and governance.
Bayo Alade-Loba
Bayo joined Sirdar in 2024 having worked in management consulting, private equity advisory and investment banking for 30 years.
Bayo’s professional experience in emerging markets is extensive and his leadership in advising corporates in Africa, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East has garnered multiple investment banking “deal of the year” awards. In 2006, Bayo was voted “International Banker of the Year” by THISDAY, Nigeria’s leading newspaper. Bayo held the position of Honorary Advisor, Infrastructure and Finance to President Musa Y’Adua of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. At Credit Suisse (New York and London), Bayo led the Africa investment banking team which successfully raised over $5bn for African corporates in industry ground-breaking transactions when African corporates had limited access to the international capital markets. With Bayo at the helm, Credit Suisse was voted “International Bank of the Year” in Nigeria.
He has advised and served on the boards of numerous African corporates. Notably, he was recruited by Sirdar to serve as a non-executive director on the board of a Kenyan conglomerate where he also served as chairman of the London-based investment committee charged with portfolio company performance valuation and screening of all new investments and divestitures of the company’s holdings. Bayo also served as the lead independent director of Flour Mills Nigeria PLC and as a member of the board governance committee. At Sirdar, Bayo has primary partner responsibility for our West African clients.
Bayo holds a BA degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Balliol College, Oxford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Additionally, Bayo has taught graduate classes on transnational investments at both Harvard Law School and the Georgetown Law Centre in Washington DC.
