Applied Directorship Programme – 13 April 2023

Programme Overview

The Applied Directorship Programme is an 11-module accredited learning journey that upskills participants in terms of best boardroom practices, governance fundamentals and legislative compliance. The learnings are made practical through simulated board meetings held during the sessions.

Programme Outcomes

  • Understand what an effective and integrated high-performance board and governance methodology requires.
  • Reinforce and augment your knowledge and understanding of directors’ duties and statutory obligations.
  • Gain working knowledge of the essential tools required for effective board meetings including governance documents, board papers and board calendar.
  • Gain practical expertise in applying the methodology with relevance to create value.
  • Recognise personal directorship strengths and opportunities to develop further through the Contribution Compass profiler.

Roger is a seasoned speaker and knowledgeable thought leader who regularly facilitates webinars and learning opportunities. Roger has worked together with the Sirdar team since 2014 and joined the business full-time in early 2019 bringing with him 12 years of experience in training directors across Africa and more than 30 years of business experience including family business, corporate, nonprofit and entrepreneurial endeavours.

He has also been involved in providing ongoing team and strategic business training and facilitation, and running multi-day experiential learning events. His speciality is in making complexity understandable and facilitating resilient and agile solutions to some of the biggest challenges that
organisations face.

You are applying to participate in our Applied Directorship Programme. Sirdar’s Terms and Conditions Please note that in applying to participate in the Applied Directorship Programme you, or as an authorised representative of your company, have read and agreed to the Sirdar Standard Terms and Conditions available at https://sirdargroup.com/downloads/SirdarTCs.pdf In addition to Sirdar’s terms and conditions you also accept that upon successful entry to the programme:
  • A deposit is due on acceptance of application with three payment structures available to choose from.
  • Once 12 participants for the programme have been accepted, the dates are finalised and communicated to you and the deposit is no longer refundable. A strict 25 percent cancellation fee from six weeks prior to commencement (after dates have been confirmed) applies. The applicant is liable for the full investment regardless of attendance or completion post commencement of the course.
  • Each participant will be required to attend classes and successfully complete all resources and assignments as indicated on module outlines in order to meet competency requirements. The minimum attendance requirements allow for a maximum of two sessions to be missed by any participant.
