BOARD EFFECTIVENESS WORKSHOP TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Workshop details
The Board Effectiveness Half-Day Workshop will be delivered virtually on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, from 08:30 to 12:30 South African Standard Time (SAST).
The virtual access link and any joining instructions will be sent to registered delegates using the email addresses provided during registration.
Registration and payment
The fee is USD $197 per delegate. The total payable will be calculated according to the number of delegates registered and displayed before payment.
Registration is only confirmed once full payment has been successfully processed. Completing the registration form without successful payment does not reserve or confirm a place.
The person completing a group booking confirms that they are authorised to register the organisation and all delegates included in the booking.
Delegate information
Accurate information must be provided for every delegate, including their full name, email address and job title.
The booking contact is responsible for ensuring that all delegate information is correct. Sirdar will not be responsible for communications that are not received because incorrect or incomplete information was supplied.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation requests must be submitted to Sirdar in writing.
The following cancellation terms will apply, subject to any rights available under applicable law:
Cancellations received at least seven calendar days before the workshop will qualify for a full refund.
Cancellations received between three and six calendar days before the workshop will qualify for a 50% refund.
Cancellations received less than 72 hours before the workshop will not qualify for a refund.
No refund will be provided for non-attendance.
Any approved refund will be processed using the original payment method. Sirdar may deduct any payment-processing charges that cannot reasonably be recovered, to the extent permitted by law.
Delegate substitutions
A registered delegate may be replaced by another person at no additional cost. Substitution details must be provided to Sirdar in writing at least 24 hours before the workshop.
The replacement delegate’s full name, email address and job title must be supplied.
Changes, postponement or cancellation by Sirdar
Sirdar may make reasonable changes to the facilitator, programme, content or delivery arrangements where necessary.
If Sirdar postpones the workshop, the booking will automatically transfer to the rescheduled date. If the new date is unsuitable, the booking contact may request a refund.
If Sirdar cancels the workshop and does not offer a suitable alternative date, all workshop fees paid will be refunded. Sirdar will not be responsible for indirect costs or losses arising from a postponement or cancellation, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Virtual attendance and technical requirements
Delegates are responsible for ensuring that they have:
A stable internet connection;
A suitable computer or device;
Compatible audio and video facilities; and
Access to the virtual platform used for the workshop.
Sirdar will take reasonable steps to provide access to the virtual workshop but cannot guarantee uninterrupted participation where a delegate experiences problems with their own device, connectivity, software or network.
Virtual access links are provided only to registered delegates and may not be shared with another person.
Workshop conduct
Delegates are expected to participate professionally and respectfully.
Sirdar may remove a delegate whose conduct is disruptive, offensive, unlawful or materially affects the facilitator or other participants. A delegate removed for such conduct will not be entitled to a refund, subject to applicable law.
Workshop materials and intellectual property
All workshop content and materials remain the intellectual property of Sirdar or the relevant rights holder.
Materials may be used by registered delegates for their own personal and professional development. They may not be copied, distributed, sold, published, uploaded, recorded or used to deliver another programme without prior written permission.
Delegates may not record the workshop, whether by audio, video, screenshots or screen recording, without Sirdar’s prior written consent.
Personal information
Sirdar will use the personal information supplied through the registration form to:
Process and administer the booking and payment;
Communicate with the booking contact and delegates;
Provide virtual access and workshop information;
Deliver the workshop; and
Maintain appropriate financial and attendance records.
Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act.
For group bookings, the booking contact confirms that they are authorised to provide the delegates’ information and that the delegates have been informed that Sirdar will contact them regarding the workshop.
Workshop registration does not automatically constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing communications.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sirdar’s total liability arising from a booking or the delivery of the workshop will be limited to the workshop fees actually paid for the affected booking.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be dealt with by a court or other competent authority in South Africa, subject to any rights available under applicable consumer-protection legislation.
Acceptance
By submitting the registration form and completing payment, the booking contact confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
